Creamy Sour Cream Dip
- 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon fresh dill weed (finely chopped)
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder

- ⅛ teaspoon paprika
- Dash of cayenne pepper for taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Juice of ¼ lemon
- ½ tablespoon green onion (finely chopped)

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat the sour cream with the mayonnaise for 4-5 minutes. Following this, add these dip ingredients―dill weed, garlic powder, onion, powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and lemon juice. Combine well and allow the mixture to stand for 10 minutes. Stir again, put the lid on, and refrigerate for 4 hours. Just before serving, garnish the dip with chives and green onions.

- 2 medium-sized yellow onions
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cups low-fat sour cream
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme (minced)
- 1 teaspoon white balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
First of all, peel the onions and slice them. Cut the slices into half and keep aside. Heat a thick saucepan or skillet over medium-high heat, and add the butter and olive oil to it. Once the butter melts, add the onion slices to it, and sprinkle salt and pepper for taste. Stir and cook over low heat for 20 minutes, until the onions turn golden brown.
