CARAMEL CHEESECAKE BREAD

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 4 c flour
  • 2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c milk
  • 2/3 c vegetable oil

FILLING:

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c caramel sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Grease 1.5 pound {9″} loaf pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Beat eggs, milk and oil.
  4. Gradually add dry mixture to wet until just moist.
  5. Lightly grease the pan with baking spray
  6. Pour 1/2 of batter into loaf pan.
  7. Combine cream cheese, sugar, and egg. Top just the center of the mixture in loaf pan with cream cheese mixture.
  8. Pour remaining batter into the loaf pan.
  9. Add a stripe of caramel sauce to the top of the batter and swirl with a knife.
  10. Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out “clean” with the exception of a little cream cheese 😉
